Robert Blau
Robert Blau has been
engaged in property tax appeal, condemnation and other real estate
valuation matters in New Jersey since 1983. Mr. Blau is a former
Deputy Attorney General in the State of New Jersey's Department of
Law and Public Safety's Transportation Section where he
represented the New Jersey Department of Transportation in
condemnation cases. Since 1990, Mr. Blau has been senior partner
of Blau & Blau and Vice President of Blau Appraisal Company.
Mr. Blau is a Certified Tax Assessor by the New Jersey Division of
Taxation. Mr. Blau has appeared as a guest lecturer at meetings of
the New Jersey Association of County Boards of Taxation
Commissioners and Administrators, The Appraisal Institute, and
Rutgers University Division of Continuing Education's assessor
education program.
A graduate of the University of
Wisconsin Law School, Mr. Blau also has a Masters of Science
Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of
Arizona. He has passed the Appraisal Institute's courses on
Appraisal Principles, Capitalization I and II, and Uniform
Standards of Appraisal Practice.
Mr. Blau is a member of the New
Jersey Bar Association Taxation and Environmental Law Sections. He
is author of the Tax Appeal chapter in the Essex County Bar
Association's publication, Tips for the Unwary.
